EVENTS AND VISITS

The Conferences and Visitors Area provides logistical support to all CIAT (International Center for Tropical Agriculture) units in the organization of visits, symposia, meetings, congresses, etc. In the same way, she advises in the negotiation of corporate rates for hotels, companies providing transport services, Simultaneous Interpretation, cultural shows, structures, among others.

CONFERENCE ROOMS

We manage the conference rooms looking for an efficient use of the spaces according to the needs of the users. Through the online tool found on CIAT’s intranet, CIATNet, room reservations can be made. These do not have any cost for the areas if they are used during working hours.
The Conferences Area consolidates visitor statistics to the Center, so they must share the information of the visitors of each area.

ACADEMIC VISITS

We coordinate the academic visits, according to the requests throughout the year. As of 2019, we will launch a system on the CIAT website to request visits.

We made the Open Houses in the year to give the students of last year of high school the opportunity to know the research work that the organization does.

VISAS

They provide support for the processing of the Courtesy Visa for visitors to the different CIAT programs, who need a visa to enter Colombian territory. We coordinate this service with our CIAT-Bogotá Office.
